Stage 8: Anchoring New Approaches in the Culture

Change should stick in the organization through its culture. Change should be part of the core aspect of the organization. The UWH has a corporate culture that empowers employees for better performance through its three prolonged approach. Among these is effective training of nurse leaders (NLs) and nurse managers (NMs) who receive training on leadership which allow them to offer effective leadership. Therefore, alongside such models, the organization should anchor new practices to align with the overall goals, its vision and mission statements (Wheeler & Holmes, 2017). For instance, nurse leaders and nurse managers should possess effective communication skills and be role models.

Again, nurses make critical decisions which leads to increased appreciation and promotion from the management. Through such practices, employees appreciate change and become change agents helping steer the change process and attainment of organizational vision (Nilsen et al., 2020). Imperatively, making these practices and others a core aspect of the overall organizational culture is essential. The UWH should evaluate its culture and ensure that the new changes are incorporated for optimal outcomes. The leaders should make continuous efforts to ascertain that change occurs in each aspect of the organization.

Create a narrated PowerPoint presentation of 5 or 6 slides with video that presents a comprehensive plan to implement the change you propose.

Your presentation should be 5–6 minutes in length and should include a video with you as presenter.

Your Change Implementation and Management Plan should include the following:

An executive summary of the issues that are currently affecting your organization/workplace (This can include the work you completed in your Workplace Environment Assessment previously submitted, if relevant.)
A description of the change being proposed
Justifications for the change, including why addressing it will have a positive impact on your organization/workplace

You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly.
