Climate change forms a central part of the day to day livelihoods of human beings and the day to day inhabitants of the world and the whole earth. Climate has been a key topic since it determines the various climatic conditions including temperature, water quantities, earthquakes and the air conditions. In the recent times, concerns have been raised for the last thirty years on the dangers in climate change as it is being observed by scientists and how human activities have played key role in the climatic changes being experienced on earth.

In the last two years, it can be seen that the efforts to curb climate change have managed to intensify bringing to question the seriousness of the world leaders in their approach to fighting the extreme climate conditions due to human activities. A gathering in Paris, France brought to the table diplomats from all over the world in order to discuss agreements and solutions to the extremely dangerous climatic conditions due to human activities (Eduardo, P. 2018).During the climate conference held in Paris, it was noted that the earth’s surface temperature was already 1.1 degrees Celsius above the average temperatures as recommended by the scientists. The conference also noted that these extreme conditions and temperatures in the world have risen steadily in the recent times with greenhouse effects and emissions being the lead contributor with over fifty billion tons of emissions to the earth’s space.

This points out to the historical collective actions adopted by the worlds at large through its diplomats since the first conference on climate change held in Toronto in 1988 where the world leaders first met to specifically discuss on matters pertaining climate and the global temperatures in the world (Woodward, J. 2013). On this occasion, the temperature at that time merely half degrees more that the average global temperatures of the earth surface over the last twenty years. It can also be noted that in the year 1988 during the conference, NASA information and records concerning carbon dioxide emission and the greenhouse gases amounted to thirty billion tons of emissions leading to general concern in terms of the accumulation of the CO2 gas on the earth surface and the atmosphere in general. The records on the emission also showed that the emissions due to forest activities and land activities were not accounted for; this means that the quantities could be more than the mentioned in the data (Lerner, A.2009).

Nothing much happened in response to the conference and no much effort were put in place in order to secure the future of the world’s climatic conditions. This led to the second conference in 1997 in Kyoto, Japan where world leaders gathered for the second time in order to look into the various ways and policies that could be put in place in order to curb and control the emissions due to the greenhouse effects in the world. During the conference, it was observed that the global emissions of greenhouse gases had reached a record thirty five billion tons , and the average global temperatures on the earth’s surface now stood at 0.7 degrees above the average temperatures. It is due to the events that followed in terms of climatic change that led to latest conference in the last two years in Paris as seen to curb out serious and strict agreements to curb the world global temperature which now stood at 1.1 degrees above the average and the emissions had now reached a record fifty billion tons (Ollhoff, J. 2011).

It can hence be noted that, the call for a collective effort in curbing climate change in the world today calls for the collective contribution of each and every country to form a united front and international championing to slow and be able to control the climate change in the world today. Hard choices must also be made by key countries such as the United States of America since its recent withdrawal from the Paris agreement leading to the reduction of the efforts to curb the dangerous climatic changes in the world. Nevertheless, scientists have been able to establish statistics after the Paris agreement and it can still be sadly observed that the levels of greenhouse emission in 2030 will be more by 10 to 12 billion tons.
