The pathophysiologic connection between asthma and allergies
An allergic reaction is an occurrence that is seen when there is an impaired response by the immune system to some kind of food or pollen. An allergic reaction results therefore from the inability of the immune system to act in a normal way and hence resulting in the rise in the chances of the patient having a challenge in developing the standard of breathing or looking. However, there are allergic reactions that are dangerous and may result in the patient becoming asthmatic.
On the other hand, asthma is an inflammatory disease that affects the airways of the patient. The inflammation results in the swelling and spasm of the airwards and hence resulting in the instance where one having a narrow airway. The health condition is not curable and a patient who has asthma will have to manage it all over their lives. The causes of the health condition include the shortness of breath, the environmental conditions and the weakening of the immune system (Wall et al., 2018).
Pathophysiology of lung cancer, clinical manifestations, and diagnostic tests
One of the risk factors that will increase the chances that one will end up getting lung cancer is the cases is smoking. Along these lines, the main causes of lung cancer are smoking as adduced by Strachan et al. (2015). In addition, the health condition could result from the exposure of an individual to the cases of asbestos fibers. This is silicate fibers and hence can persist in the lungs for a long time.
